Meet the Founder – Latoya Taylor
Originally from Mississippi, Latoya has called the Greater New Orleans area home since 2011. Her career began in the United States Army, specializing in Information Technology. She later supported SAIC as a contractor and worked for the Department of Defense as a government employee. She also brought her expertise to the Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools as an admin assistant and Digital Communications Manager.
Latoya holds a Bachelor of Science in Internetworking Technology from Strayer University and a Master’s in Educational Technology Leadership from the University of Louisiana Monroe.
As the CEO of Kafue Designs, Latoya aims to bridge the gap between current knowledge and future advancements. Her futurist mindset ensures organizations are well-prepared for upcoming changes, believing in the importance of early preparation. Known for her transformational leadership style, she inspires and motivates those around her to achieve their best.
Outside of her professional life, Latoya enjoys reading, writing, and training for her next marathon. She balances her roles at Kafue Designs and as the board chair for One Book One New Orleans by working with an amazing team.
Latoya’s favorite motto is, “Be a thermostat and not a thermometer,” which perfectly captures her approach to leadership and life. With 28 years of experience, she brings extensive knowledge and a sense of trust to her clients.
